The seat cushion that your butt sits on will be shorter. To fit in the back of a jeep or extra cab truck where you have limited space.

Will the apex with the extra wide option fit a 38" waist? with maybe a little room to spare? I'm a lardass and don't see myself getting smaller anytime soon:laughing:.

I'm a 36" waist and fit into a apex extra wide no problem, so I would see you fitting just as easily.
