I attempted to search, but didnt quite know what to look for. Basically i have a 60 in the rear of my YJ (not HP) and i want to get more ground clearance. options:

shave the bottom lip = 1/4" - 1/2" clearance

Cut the bottom of the center section off and weld a plate in, like dynatracs. Id like more info in this direction. How do i do it?

i heard if you send Dynatrac your center section, theyll send you a new one thats been cut and had a plate welded in the botton for $250. Is this true.

Please help,

Ryan

Here is what they said:
No. We don't like to send things out that are suspect. In our findings, the stock housings simply can't keep good gear mesh over time after being cut. Again, your experiences and those of others may vary, but we don't No. We don't like to send things out that are suspect. In our findings,
