I pulled this off of the CK5 message board.

The description of the truck - (even with 3.55 diff gears, the combo would be 4250:1)

CRAZY ranger with some unbelievable drievline:
Triton V8 mounted in the middle of the truck, followed by some AOD tranny, then a NP205 right behind the rear bumper mounted directly to the auto tranny to send the power up towards the front of the truck, after that NP205 lie TWO NP435 low gear trannier married together followed by yet another NP205 married to the last NP435 to feed a D70 rear and a solidified F250 front end. The guy says it takes 3.5minutes for one revolution of a tire in his lowest gears. Inside the cab was 1 floor mounted shifter for the auto, and then SEVEN unlabeled sticks popping outta a hole in the floor for the rest of the driveline.

I'll give credit where credit is due, that had to take some planning and fabbing. But the sheer weight alone of all of those cases and trannies and the steel to hold them in place has to be unreal!

Yes, its pretty phenominal, I would think it does have some outragus weight. I would like to see some more info on this if anybody has it.

Cool and useless! All that extra weight, all those inches hanging vulnerably beneath the frame rails so....

he can break parts faster/easier than any other vehicle on earth? Ok so it's an interesting "Exhibition" vehicle at best.

That rig was discussed on here a LONG time ago.

General consensus was that it was too complicated and a lot of stuff would break if he ever got on it or actually wheeled it.

Thats quite possibly the dumbest fawking think I've seen all day.

It would be fun though to drive the turd up to a wall, put it in low-low-low-low-low-low-low-low-low-low-low-low-low-low-low-low-low-low-low-low-low-low-low, hold the motor @ say 2500 rpm, and see how long it takes to blow something up. :D

Well hey, there ya go. I mean we've all been in a situation where that would come in handy  Let's see, I could just leave the truck running & in gear, get out, start a fire, make lunch, eat lunch, police the fire, and take about a dozen steps to catch back up to the truck :D

All that torque to the axles and he's running blocks in the rear (which isn't a Dana 70) with only fore/aft mounted shocks to control wrap. I'm sure that works out nicely. Wouldn't all that torque multiplication grenade everything down the driveline domino style if you even gave it a little gas (assuming everything is in low gear)? And the weight, my god the weight!

I think its creative, but Im not sure where it would really work on the trail. I don't see a use for the low low low gearing... but its cool :D

We were gonna do that with my truck, but we realized before we hit the wall, that (a) it'd drive right up and flip over backwards, and (b) the landlord would prolly bill us for the skidmarks on the wall.

Looking at the body... dude works at a junkyard, and has nothing else to do. "Nothing better to do" suggests that he could be doing something worse.

An NP435 has a lower reverse gear than it's 1st gear (I think). If you put both of them in reverse will it crawl even slower while still going forward? :D

Yes. There was someone on here that had dual trannies in his (i think) flatty. Putting both trannies in reverse made it go forward in a lower gear than both of them in first.
