does any body have a pic of a skid plate they made? I need to make a new one for my cruiser 2F SM420 3 speed T case.

I don't think that you have to get that sophisticated for a sm420 swap. I rearranged my original skid plate with a 5lb BFH and an anvil in about 10 minutes. If I had taken a litle more time and cut it in a few places, it might look nicer. :D

You don't want that sucker rubbing up against the running gear as it will act as a sounding board for driveline noise and whine.

I made the one on my cruiser out of 2x3 angle iron and some steel plate. Same basic design as the stock one, but a whole lot stronger. Just thought that one was a whole lot better looking than mine.

The skid plate for my Cruiser is 3/16" flat plate, with a dropout for the t-case. Don't have any pics of it, but I can hold up the entire vehicle with it. It mounts flush to the frame bottom, no angle or other stuff to get hung up.
