Live in Greeley and graduate in 3 weeks from UNC. Have to finish OBA, gears for the rear, shocks, breaks, front drive shaft and armor. Looking to be done second week of May then I would be ready to meet up and run this summer.

Bullhide is ok if you know what you are looking for, otherwise you end up being told you need way more and spend way more than what you need to. Also if they don't have it in stock, just order it yourself at home. If they order it, you pay shipping and taxes.

Yes, that bad. Tho not asked, I feel obligated to tell my story. (This is the reason I had a "Fuck Bullhide 4x4" sticker made.) One of my very good friends owns an XJ. I personally do most of his design and fabrication. His little sister has a boyfriend who also has an XJ. Being 16 or something and clueless he didnt know any better and chose Bullhide to do some repairs. Mom and dad ended up paying a 1600 bill for 2 new teraflex lower control arms and a new adjustable trac bar. NOTHING ELSE! A total parts cost of around $500. With an $1100 dollar labor charge. I was over visiting one night and caught wind of this bullshit. After speaking with the kid, he asked me to talk with his dad. (Rich ass guy, completly un-mechanically inclined.) I sat and reviewed the reciept and discussed how he got ripped off. We both then argreed to pay Bullhide a visit. Mom had paid the bill for the kid so Bullhide had no idea who the father was or who I was.

We show and I played stupid and asked then to quote me the cost of 2 control arms and a trac bar installed. Guy did some typing and replied...after tax it would be 9....something somthing. (I forget the amount he quoted.) So at that point without any hesitation, father whips out the reciept and litterally SLAMS it on the counter and says "Then why the FUCK did you charge my wife $1600 to fix my sons jeep?"......The guy looks at us both just completly dumbfounded. Then says hold on a sec, let me get a manager. Big bad ass manager guy comes to the counter and says "whats the problem?"..... Father replies..... "a $700 diffrence ini the quote you just gave me vs what my wife actually paid is the problem!!" Manager takes the reciept and looks it over. He then says " hmmm looks like you were charged double for labor." Father replies...."Nooooooooooo, looks more like you were trying to take advantage of my wife and son asshole." Manager says " No need to be vulgar sir, what do we need to do to make you happy?" Father: "Give me back 7hundredfuckingdollars!" Manager: I cant do that sir". Father: I bet my lawyer can make you." Manager..."threats will not resolve the problem sir." Father: "Its not a threat, you where unjust, untruthful, and unprofessional. And its cost me 700 extra dollars. Which is enough for me to contact my lawyer for a small claims case." Manager now getting defensive "Sir, threating a legal suit with not resolve this." Father: Now livid pissed..." Im not fucking threatning you! I WILL contact my lawyer and take this shit hole buisness to court." Manager : "Hold on sir." ( He walks to the back.) 2-3 minutes later he reappears with $684 in cash. He hands it to father and says "Im sorry for the confusion sir. Here is your money, now please leave." Father: I will be reporting you to the BBB. I hope you think twice before your rip someone off again." Manager, please leave sir". Father... now more calm and relaxed" oh we are, no need to stick around in a dishonest and unprofessional buisness." (At this point we are both walking to the door)....Manager " Sir I deal with un-edjuacted off roaders on a daily basis, I dont need you and your friend insulting me, please leave".............

Ahhh fuck! Now its my turn.

I turn around....."Exscuse me?" Are you implying Im un-edjucated? Do you realize Im the reason we are in here? Do you realize had it not been for me knowing what the fuck Im talking about, we wouldnt be here and you would have ripped off yet another customer?" Manager: "Please leave sir." Me:....No! Fuck you! You dont know anything about me and you wanna call me un-edjucated?!?! Go fuck yourself! No.....,.no wait....pick something. Anything offraod associated....just a random anything and ask me what I know." Manager: "Sir I dont have time for this"....Me: "Bullshit you dont! If your ripping people off 700 dollars at a time, you can afford to have an argument with and "un-edjucated" customer....so again....pick a subject asshole." Most educated fabricators will be more than willing to lend a hand. And unless it requires heavy modification, or fab work....I usually just charge for the cost of wire and abrasives. Avoid any local shop that you see someone rocking a HUGE ghay window sticker. Ft Collins 4x4 and Bullhide are at the top of my list for shitbox offroad shops.

Like I said order your parts online or from a select few of guys in the area and find one of us to help you out and dont forget the beer.

If you have half a clue about what you're talking about, the staff there will simply be annoyed with you. They won't stand behind tire certs, and their prices aren't even competitive. Bullhide only caters to Jeep owners that only know they want big, cool looking rigs that have all the parts they saw in the latest issue of Petersens Offroad and have deep pockets to make it happen.
