To anyone preparing to do a spoa--be CAREFUL. I found a sharp piece of steel, a flat plate that the bump stop hits inside the rear wheelwell. It is pointed and will go at least 1/4 inch into your head. And man did it hurt JCC:D :D :usa:

Better grind it, it will cut your tires worse than your head.
Your head will heal, the tires - no.

Amen brutha! I can't count how many times I've quietly entered the house and walked straight into the little half bath inside the back room without saying a word. Girlfriend knows something's up cuz I'm too quiet so comes back to check on me.

"What'd ya do this time?"
"Grinder."
"Geez! You said you were gonna wear gloves."
"I know. I just had a little spot to touch up."
"Is your finger still intact?"
"Could you get me another paper towel please? The bleedin' hasn't slowed enough for a band aid yet."
"Band aid?!! Don't you think that might need stitches?"
"Sorry, no time. Gotta finish so I can wheel next weekend....paper towel???....Thanks hon. I think the wheel burned the flesh enough that the bleeding should stop pretty quick."

Damn, so far my worst damage is a huge blood blister on my left hand pinky finger.

If my scars told tales.......
After working as a framing/trim carpenter for a goodly portion of my life, and then as a Mechanic.......I have seen and done some things that would make most just pass out completely.

it seems I never get away from working on the rig or the DD without busting my knuckles or something on some sharp corner
When I do, I figure I did somethin' wrong or forgot somethin'. :flipoff2:

This one time....

back home in NY the winters can get, well... cold.... I was outside grinding on somthing and didnt even know i ground off a good chunk of one of my fingers till i hit the warm water cleaning up....

Im like..... where's all this blood coming from, i turn my hand around and ohhh i see now...

BTW: masking tape works very well in the garage to stop big cuts, doesnt seem to stick too bad like duck tape...

A friend just showd me the new liquid band-aid stuff havnt tried it thought....He said its like super glue :-)
