I have seen it at pepboys for somewhere around $100. Anybody seen the stuff in action? Was thinking of doing the bed of my blazer in this stuff. I getting sick of all the dust and mud blowing in my face on the highway. If I coat the back and hose her out once a week I wonder how long before she rusts out.

I've seen the Hurculiner from Pep Boys in use. Went on pretty easy. Only thing I didnt like was that the finish is pretty rough(felt pretty sharp after it dried). It would suck to slip and scrape against it. But would probably smooth out a bit after more use.

i did my entire tub in it and i am VERY happy with it.
i did with $150 worth of herculiner what Line-x wanted $750 for.
i did my entire tub. my only complaint is that i wasted 1/3 of a gallon no knowing how thick to do the bed. IMHO, as thick as you can get the bed, the better. but that was a user error, the stuff is tuff

I put it in a truck bed and it peeled the paint underneath off the primer, so if you put it down make sure you sand down to the bare metal to apply it. Really I wouldn't waste money on that junk. It is REALLY rough-textured. If you put it on, it'll look nice at first but when it starts coming off you'll wish you'd have put LineX and it's warranty on instead. The Duplicolor spray on stuff isn't any good either, but it is smooth.

The stuff works great, just read the directions. If you don't follow the directions, it won't adhere to the surface---like pealing the paint off to the primer...
One the stuff is on, properly, its not going to come off.... It is rubberized, so its flexable. If you do happen to scratch it, its easy to touch up.
One recommendation, wear gloves and old clothes-this stuff will not wash out!:skull:

I did the entire tub with Herculiner on my K5 and I have to say that I am extremely happy with it. Preparation is the key to the success on this stuff. You must scratch the surface and clean it off REAL good with Acetone or equivalent. I used to hate getting dust/leaves/crap in my eyes while on the freeway and it is no longer a problem since I did this. Here are some pics of the progress in case you're interested.

If you would like to have it done Line-X is usually pretty decently priced. I've got a friend with it in his Jeep and it has lasted.
Whatever liner you put on make sure brake fluid doesn't get on it because it will eat the liner off.

Is this the stuff with the chewed up rubber bits? Is there any way to sift out the rough bits so you can have a smoother finish? Mud will cake up on a rough finish before a smooth finish. :p

Have you looked into "Durabak"? It is more like the spray on liners and goes on much thicker than the herculiner. I saw a writeup on 4 Wheel and Offroad a long time ago and got a sample from the manufacturer. Seems like some good stuff to me!
