: dodge deesel automatic tranny YotaCrawler 10-25-2002, 12:06 AM Im looking to get a 94-98 dodge diesel, I would like an automatic but have been hearing they suck, i also herd that if you replave the tork converter it wil fix the problem. so is this true, or can someone help me out? They 94 and 95 is what gave them such a bad rep. Not to say the the later modles are the best out their. Just something to keep in the back of you mind, when you have a chose between a 95 and a 96 go with the 96... Rocktoyo 10-25-2002, 05:58 AM I ran a 96 for years with a auto, beat the hell out of it and it stayed together. However, a destall converter, L/U switch and a transgo kit are damn good ideas.
