I would think that the way they creep along, you wouldn't want to use one in competition :D

I heard that they were not allowed due to them unloading and allowing the vehicle to roll backwards untill the cable brake caught it. Something like 3 to 8 feet I heard. Just trying to find out.

There so slow I have no idea why you'd want to use one in a comp, but I haven't heard anything about them being banned however.

I heard over a year ago they were banned because a solenoid failed allowing it to freespool out:eek:
mine has never "unloaded" allowing the vehicle to roll anywhere, let alone 3-8 feet. never heard of the cable brake thing either.
