Found this site while following a thread in the jeep section. There's some good shots of this cage and of chopping the entire back end off a Zuk.

There's actually quite a few Zuks covered on that site. This one almost looks like a small Bronco.

This back end is pretty cool, needs a cooler mount tho.

Most likely for looks. If you browse thru some of their other projects they use that same styling cue. Another cool cage.

A cage is my next project.
I've got a few questions but haven't researched it yet.
I will when I get working on it.

My biggest question is where to attach the front loop to the frame.

I still need to look at some, search, and then decide.
I'm still pre-planning for now

I think it is just bent. Could have been rolled in another zuk and transplanted???? Who knows.

Thanks Chris for the link :D

This is a good link for anyone who's thinking about building a cage. Plus, I'll eventually re-do my front end to make it tie in with the back.

I like this shape.

I made mine a halo design also. It came out quite nicely.

I just thought I would clear up the confusion about some of the cages on my site. The Zuk cage and a few of the others have a dip inthe front of the cage. It was placed in the cage for looks. In some ways it keeps the cage from looking like a box. The bar on the front of the Zuk goes down and forward at the same time. The cage in the Zuk is not from a rolled Zuk. There is a CJ cage and a YJ cage that do something similar. As you can see in the picture below.

I am about to build bumpers and nerf bars on this Zuk, so check back for updates.

Thanks,
Dan

The way I wrote the reply above looks like I am calling the CJ a ZUK. I am going to build bumpers on the green Zuk on my site. Sorry for the mix up.

Thanks,
Dan

I've seen some of Dan's handywork in person, he does excellent work. I 'wheel with Jason (Blue YJ) at Tellico a few times every year..... the vanity plate is correct, it'll go!

I really like the cage in Joey's new Zuk!

I like your work, you have a good eye for making a cage look (for lack of a better word) right.
