Have a look http://www.overlanddynamics.com/products_stinger.htm

Is this an idea worth borrowing from? You still would have a panhard bar, but you do ditch the upper control arms. Does not look overly difficult to fab up.

Interesting. Looks like the idea could be dumbed down quite a bit by using some tube. Build one and let us know how it works. :D

Looks to me like it is like a ladder style traction bar that just relies on the u-bolts around the tubes and the shape of the casting to keep it from moving rather that welding in two mounts... They use a radius arm bushing at the frame end and a little rod shaped shackle deal to allow for the fore and aft motion of the suspension...

It is just a take off a proven design - I like the skid plating that is integrated but the little rod that now acts as your sole control over pinion angle is a little scetchy:confused:

And to be really scared look at the "zig zag" WTF!!!

It is worse than a buggy leaf, hit the brakes and your ass end comes up for a visit, they even say there is nothing holding the springs in... Thats some quality engineering - "not getting enough droop - why not just unbolt your springs from the frame!" Fawking brilliant :flipoff2:

creativity amazes me :D
