I turned 13 on Friday the 13th, Found a huge wad of cash on that day sitting in the creek with a rubberband around it and a bag of weed tied to the cash ... tossed the weed to my Uncle and had a great time on the $1480 that was there.

I have a pretty shitty Friday the 13th story

About 6 years ago I had just got back from Florida for work and had a work truck. There was a place to cruise a couple towns over and there was always women running around. Loaded up the truck and took off. I already had a few beers before we left. Going 70 in a 55 I get pulled over. Get administered the breathalyzer and all that jazz. I pass of course so we're on our way.

I get about 3 blocks away from where we were going and get sideswiped by this truck. Now i'm driving a 98 Chevy 4wd Crew cab dually and he hits us so hard it spins us sideways in the road. Fucks that other truck which looked like a Ford pickup all to hell! We all get out and the guy just takes off. :confused: I'm thinking he was drunk or didn't have any insurance. I assessed the damage and it dented in the bed a bit and broke a piece off of the fiberglass fender. I didn't wanna turn the accident in and lose my job so I just loaded us all in and we took back off.

Now we had took the truck to a little mudhole down the road the night before so it was nice and muddy to start with :homer:. When we get to the cruising strip the 3rd car I see is my boss' daughter. We talk for a second and she grabs her camera and takes a pic. :shaking:

I told my friends, "Fuck this shit! I'm going home". Learned later it was Friday the 13th

I never did get in trouble at work. I told them someone hit me in a parking lot and the daughter never said anything about the mud. I washed it off before work.

Before that I never had a problem about the 13th. Now it kinda makes me leary. I'll be staying home all day today

Nope but I did finally see those big ass titties. Of course she wouldn't ever show me at work so I didn't til a couple years later and I saw her at a mud run. Like others, I generally have shitty luck most days, so the 13th has no fear for me.

Plus my one and only child (so far) was born on the 13th and he is an awesome kid, so maybe the 13th is actually lucky? :D
Strange thing about that, the doctors had actually picked the 13th as the most likely due date, and I've heard that an overwhelming majority of babies (something like 70% +) are NOT born on their due dates.

703 years ago, French King Phillipe IV, conspiring with Pope Clement V, arrested and dissolved the Order of Knights Templar arresting the order in France, including their Grand Master Jacques de Molay. The arrest was founded on accusations and scandalous, perverse rumours about them .

After interrogations and likely coerced confessions (remember this was the era of inquisitions), de Molay confesed only to "denying Christ and trampling on the Cross", statements he was forced to repeat in public for the humiliation of the noble order. With his confession, the Pope ordered the arrest of all Knights Templar across Chrisendom, which lead to tortured confessions and accusations of herasy. Many Templar knights were absorbed into other knighthoods, such as the Knights of Malta and the Hospitilars.

De Molay and his command, languishing in prison for 7 years, to be given life sentences in 1314. Seeing the destruction of the order he rose up and recanted his confessions in an act of defiance to Phillipe IV, who summarily had de Molay burned at the stake on the Ile de la Cite in the river Seine.

On the pyre, it's said that de Molay cursed the King and the Pope to meet him before the judgment of God before the year was over.

Both Philip and Clement V died before the year was out.

The arrest of de Molay on that fateful October 13th, 1307 signaled the end of the once prosperous and vigilant knights. It is believed by some that a handful of knights escaped with the wealth of the order on boats bound to parts unknown. One suggestion is that the knights landed in Scotland, where they fought under the leadership of Robert the Bruce at the Battle of Bannockburn, for the independence of Scotland. One myths say that the Templar knights were one of the early influences of the Freemasons and by merging their knighthood with the early stone masons, they were able to preserve their rites through time. Rosslyn Chapel in Scotland is believed to be an early example of this merger.

So on this unlucky day of Friday the 13th, remember the 13th of October 1307 as the end of the Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon, better known as the Knights Templar.

Fuck Friday the 13th.................me and a friend went fishing last night and didn't even get a bite! We have never been shut out before! The moon was crazy and the water was doing some really wierd shit. We decided it was best to leave before something bad happened. :evil:

No superstitions here, I was born on Friday the 13th in August of 1982.

This Friday the 13th was not so good for me.

Get a call at 7:00am from my mother who is suppose to be on vacation in Virginia to tell me that her and my dad had driven all night to get home because she got a call that my grandmother had a stroke and is in the hospital.

1:00pm my truck starts overheating because it is low on coolant, it has a slow leak somewhere that I can find and I forgot to make sure it was full of coolant.

1:30pm my wife calls, she is on her way to the emergency room because she somehow slammed her hand in the car door hard enough that she had to unlatch the door to get her hand out. She was pretty sure she had some broken fingers.

2:00pm I had to leave work early to go get my kids from daycare, where my wife slammed her hand in the door while she was picking them up.

6:30pm my brother calls because the camper he bought weighs more than he thought it did and he needs me to pick it up for him on Monday, as if I don't have enough to do.

10:30 I am cleaning up my shop and find out one of the quarts of oil I bought had leaked all over the floor.

12:01am did a little happy dance because Friday the 13th was finally over!


Of course my brother was born on Friday October 13th and he is the luckiest SOB I have ever met.
