Shackle lift is iffy, but there's nothing wrong with the drivelines. They're supposed to be that way. It looks like it's got a chain-drive setup, which is not uncommon on mud trucks ... where breakover angle isn't a factor.

POS trucks like that are the reason we have lift laws:mad: And why we get hasseled every time we have to take our rigs in for a inspection:flipoff: :flipoff: :flipoff:

Yea, those shackles look real good. The side to side slop and movement of 4 or 5 inches should not be a problem. Driveline angles do look good. I guess we mortals never thought of clocking our transfer case so it sticks straight down. It will probably never hit a rock or anything. And whatever you do, do not move the tie rod above the springs. Leave it down where it is so that it can protect the diff cover. You might also want to use some old Pabst Blue Ribbon bear cans as spacers for a six inch body lift. The newer Bud and Coors cans are too soft.

I just don't understand.....

Why go through all the trouble with having hydro steering, custom T-case and mate a manual to an automatic then drop the ball on the springs?

You must live near me - I laugh my ass off everytime I see that thing driving down the road. Still has the stock shocks on it with no travel left, it's fun to watch him bouncing down the road. Sad part is it's been that way for years.

I dig the pinion-mounted brakes. Something about stopping on a dime...pray you never break your (pick one): axle; pinion; ring; diff/spider gears; u-joint(s); drive shaft; add you're own misfortune.

Is it the butt-pucker factor (BPF) that makes it Bootie? Or the jackass engineering that went into it?

That kind of booty fab is super common in MN...

The steering looks like a tractor orbital valve with a Fleet Farm $49.99 ram, and some over the counter hoses. Nothing high tech or even worth money there.... Half the guys in my club run that set up for full hydro.

$3700

What a joke!!

""A four speed manual was mated to the auto and a custom enclosed double chain drive was fitted to the back of the manual. #80HD chain was used, for tho""

O BOY !!!
