At least you can extend your jackstands that far...my truck hits the F'ing rafters.

Man, I thought that you only aired down when going wheelin'...I have to air down in order to get my piece into the garage. :(

The front hanger assebly will be bolted with several 1/2" fine thead Grade 8 bolts... Two of the steering box bolts i have drilled through the angle iorn for, and shouldnt need that lame ass PS box holder arm/bar thing...

Whats with the small cast block at the end of the ps box? like its designed to keep the end cap from blowing off the ps box...

The fromt shackle hangers will be welded into place, but before i do that, aboyt 16" of coverage area allong the frame in wich the rear shackle hanger will sit, will be lined with 1/4" plate and angle iorn, for added strenth, gussets will be added between the frame and the under paneling of the floor board...

My hope is to be driveable front wheel drive next sunday, then a week after that have my custom sye done ;) and ready to wheel!

make sure that you sleeve the frame (both sides and bottom) around where the steering box mounts. 3/6s or 1/4 plate will do. This is a notoriously weak area on XJs. I ripped the box off my 97 twice and there was a two inch tear along the bottom of the frame in the area.

4" lift shackles? BOOOOOOOOTIE-FABALICIOUS!!!!

If would actually take time to read what i wrote... you would see...

I have used angle iorn obviously... Well two of the ps box bolts go through the 1/4" angle iorn... so i highly doubt its going anywhere...

arround the shackle hanger area, 8" in front and 8" behind it will be plated with 1/4" steel bolted through and welded, and renforced....

BTW: Need i remind you, i got this xj in dam good condition for 700$ :p

That thing would look sweet on some fullwidths. They will bolt right in to a YJ so they will probably bolt right into your XJ if you ever wanted to go wider.
