Make a new transfer case crossmember so that the transfer case now drops on the passenger side, use toyota axles front an rear, use toyota rear main leafs in the front. Wam bam, done. The jeep axle is way weak and the suspension setup aint that great neither. There's a few buildups of datsuns in the toyota section.

I can't really think of a cheap way to do a solid axle swap but that's exactly what i'd do if I still had my old 85 720. Key here is doing the work yourself or with friends and having a certified welder.
Toyota websites are a great place to find spring perch sas kits to minimize the pain. I wouldn't go yota axles as they suckity suck. Their only benefit is if you can't afford to do a gear change right now you might get to start with something reasonable. I think you'll need 5.38s though.
I'd get a waggy dana 44 front and 95 or so isuzu dana 44 rear (had disk brakes). Lock at least the rear. put leafs on the front. Rear stock springs are super flexy if they aren't worn out. Tcase is wrong yeah so you'll need a different one. Fab in a divorced case. Pick the case first before you pick the front axle. If you go yota cases then get them doubled and divorced if you have the funds. The rig will be awesome. Oh and you'll be into it about 10x more than its worth but isn't that true of just about all our wheeling rigs!

I know this is a month old, if your still wonting to do an sas here is what i did on my 81. Since you have a devorced tcas your frant axel drop dosent matter. I used an 81 jeep j10. the cheepest way is to find a complet truck on ebay for parts. I wold find a leef spring truck will be the easest to do. the wanganers axels are about the best fit. my jeep j1 cost me around 200 bucks counting going to get it. and its the same 6 lug as the datsun, the wagy will by too. Anyway I just coppyed the j10s frount setup and used it all. i cut off the spring mounts and they were welded on my datsun with the specs of the j10. the only mods i made to the set up was i swaped teh shacels from the front to the back and i got a set of 4 inch leef springs for the jeep. however you can use the stock ones. my truck is in the pitures of your nissan section. bright orange
