In your (almost) 9 months of lurking, it hasn't been clear to you, that searching should be the first you need to do?:homer::shaking:

You must be really confused person. You've always been a toyota guy but your username is "3rdgenerationjeeper" and now you have a Scout? Weird.

14 bolt full float rear and dana 60 king pin front 456 gears sittin on 39.5 iroks.
This sounds pretty good. How about some pics of your new purchase.

A bigger brake booster? Why? If you brakes suck, it's probably not just the booster. MAster Cylinder? Proportioning valve? Disc/Disc? Disc/Drum?
You could add Hydroboost.

Read the FAQ (posted by Urban Wheeler) at the top of the IH page and then don't come back until you know what a T-18 is.

Quick quiz for you, hot shot.

Did a SM465 ever come behind an IH 345?
How about a T-18 or a T-19?

You figure it out.

Not a bad looking Scout. Lose the body lift and add a 'cage.

no it never came with a sm465 i just hear good things about them and yes they did run both a t19 and t18 not sure if they were both optional for the 345 but i know a 4 speed was available
am i worthy and yes ditching the body lift is one of the plans also the auto transmission

I think the t-19 wide ratio and the sm 465 shared some similarities, but I am not a tranny expert. I know they both have a 6.3x:1 1st gear or granny gear, and they both are very stout and can handle some decent power and torque without blowing up. The t-19 would swap right in, just need a manual tranny donor scout to get all the linkages, pedal, and related parts to switch it all over. Then you probably need to shorten/lengthen driveshafts to get it rolling again. Nice looking scout, I agree to remove the body lift, and get a roll cage, and hit the trails in your scout!!
