I wanna replace the single MC I have now, was going to get the cheap $19 chevy one - but then I have heard people using a vette one?
I have 4 wheel disks, so I will need some proportioning doohicky (was planning on grabbing something from the PnP from a car that came with it, non adjustable). Is this why people use the vette one, is it built in?
the 68 vette MC I used was for a 4 wheel disc vette. I have no prop valve and I dig it.

Are you talking about one for the Toyota?? I picked up the FJ80 M/C that Allpro sells but I got a deal on it from Dirty Harry (Thanks Harry:beer: ). It bolted right up and brakes now work much better. I also eliminated that funky proportioning valve. I know that particular M/C is costly but it does work. This was taken right from Allpro's site...

FJ-80 Master Cylinder
The stock Pickup and 4Runner master cylinder on 79 - 95 trucks is designed for discs brakes up front and drums in the rear. It does not have a residual valve for use with rear disc brakes. Without a rear residual valve in the system the rear disc pads expand after braking. This causes excess peddle travel the next time you step on the brakes. To solve this we sell a FJ-80 brake master cylinder that is equipped with two residual valves, one for the front system and one for the rear. It's 1" bore size is larger than older 13/16" bore cylinders for more fluid volume.
FJ-80 Master cylinder $159

for the jeep (toy axles)
I used a MC and Proportioning valve from a 4wheel disk toyota car on my truck. It is not the 1" (it is 15/16") but it works great. On the jeep I have no booster but 4 wheel disks..

The early 'vette MC is a 1" Bore if you get the one for manual brakes... and has 2 equally-sized res's for the discs..that, and they are cheap, is why people needing a cheap MC use 'em.
