I was looking at a side pic of my trail Toyota and wondered why anyone hasn't either put a teardrop trailer on instead of a bed or built a teardrop like camper on a trail rig? I know about the Taco Chaser..but this would be sweet during snow wheeling
kind of a mating of all attached pics

Tear drop campers are sweet, something like this would be awesome out on the trail! (Not my truck, just playing around in Paint with a truck I saw on the board.)

they made them, they were called pontiac aztecs. they suck hyper balls.
however, a slide in for a pickup might be a different story.

It seems silly to hack up a 4Runner to graft in a camper, when it would be far easier to just gut the rear interior and build the same camper *into* the existing body

And from the paint picture, it looks like with the sloping roofline you'd actually have less internal space than with the OEM back end - although it does look a bit longer?

this trailer is only 150 inches including the tongue, just get a medium to large SUV or long bed truck and build whatever you want.. no reason to build a "teardrop" in my opinion, though I do like that concept/design with sleeping in front and kitchen in the rear, maybe with some enclosure for that or a side bath room...
