broke my auto trans in my 00 f350. just driving through some mud! i now have two choices: rebuild it or convert it to a six speed. i have a source for all the parts and the know how. i guess my question is what would you guys do? i drive it hard on and off road and rarely tow anymore. i just never really liked automatic transmissions.

I would have to vote for the 6spd I use mine for a daily driver, tow rig, and for some off road use. I really like the manual compare to the auto. Just my 2 cents.

My wife wouldn't let me buy my F350 PSD without going hand shaker. Around town you only have to use 1st, 3rd and 5th or 2nd, 4th and 6th depending how you look at it. Haven't done any wheeling with it yet. I drove both and I like the fact that with the manual you don't get the auto lag and diesel lag. When that turbo spools get ready. Just don't expect to be drag racing because the tranny will not be hurried when shifting.
