Has anyone put a V8 TBI or similar fuel injection on a 258 I6 using a 4bbl intake on the 258? I'm sure it may have an issue of having to much fuel, but a regulator could solve that.

I only ask because I was given a V8 Holley TBI kit, and am not really ready to swap my built 258 yet.

Buy, holley v8 tbi kit...do you mean the projection setup? If it's the projection setup then you can trim the fuel maps in the ecm to work the 258.

You can make yourself an adapter to fit the intake...use LDPE, HDPE or Phenolic.

Yeah that's what I mean, Projection.

Thanks I actualy have a piece of HDPE that would work.

Remember to adjust the throttle plates so you don't kill the IAC motor. If your going to trim the maps then you should dig up a AFR meter.

You could also use the opportunity to put in a stepper control circuit on the IAC so you could control idle speed when you want to, this is handy for OBA, OBW or simply you don't have to worry about the gas when your wheeling.

A friend is doing it, but hes using a tbi out of a 4.3 V6, the HEI Dist out of a 250 6 in line gmc and the module of a vette I think,
