Hey is there some sort of Mog event going on out west this week? Last thursday I saw two mogs headed east on I-90 in Illinois. Then, yesterday I saw another one on a flatbed on I 90 also headed westbound.

Sounds like fun. Wish I could be there. Haven't been out to that part of Oregon in a few years.

As for the fast cars comment, I've gotta tell you the two that were driving were going along at a pretty good clip. Much faster than I had ever expected to see a Mog move.

Were the two Mogs in IL together?

I'm not sure anyone would drive from IL to NWMF (In Oregon), that would be one hell of a haul in a Unimog!

Definitely together. They were cruising at a pretty good clip too, I'd say 55 or 60, which really surprised me. Looked like a pair of 406s, I think. One had a business logo on the side for some place in Mass. The other had a spare set of axles strapped on the back.

My rig is an old series rover with a cummins 4bt, I know what you mean about being ready for a break after just a short time. Love the Mogs, would love to own one.

That was Jay Couch from Couch off road. He stopped here in NY and was driving them both to CO. One was a 416L and the other was a 1700 SBU.

Ah, the mystery is solved. Definitely a nice pair of mogs. That's a much shorter drive than NWMF, but still a long drive in a rig like that.
