: c6 out of a 1 ton van

i have a 351w bolted to a c6 trans wanting to put in my jeep but not sure in tranny will work with tcase

OK the 351W from the van will fit in a CJ about as good as any swap... the C-6 you have behind it is a 2x4 version so it will require a 4x4 outputshaft (basically a rebuild) and the correct adapter for your transfer case of choice. Novak/Advance Adapters both sell the components you will require.

Couldn't you find a C6 to 203/205/208. I'd give you an adapter, T-case and the shaft to hook them up. Need to take the C6 apart to swap the 2WD shaft for the 4WD shaft.

(I'm guessing in this, know more about the C4)

Insted of ripping the tranny apart, just grab one that is 4wd. If you were closer I would sell you one of the ones that I have out. That is if you want to run a drivers side front rear.

The 351w from a van is what I used when I swaped my 302 in my jeep. The pan clears nicely, being mid sump.
