: September 25th workday.
Tinman 09-03-2010, 07:07 PM Last workday of the season. We'll meet at the former mudhole and do some trail mitigation and beef up the blockades of the old trail. Post up here, PM me or e-mail if you will be there.
This year has been a good year and really satisfying in that there has been zero issues or problems on the trail. Thanks to everyone that has been helping out and for doing such a great job protecting the environment while enjoying the best trail in the Sierras....
I mean... what trail?:D
MochaMike 09-04-2010, 05:48 PM Isn't that the same day as the FOTR work day & the PBB Poo Party?
Tinman 09-06-2010, 09:35 AM No idea. I quit checking stuff like that for two reasons. First is that we have to schedule these days based on Director availability to some extent and the second is that there isn't a lot of cross over of our volunteer base. At least that's the way it seems.
We usually get a ton of work done even with limited help so yes if we can avoid a scheduling conflict it would be great but it's not absolutely neccessary.
scottz 09-06-2010, 09:59 PM in if I can find somebody to wheel with me.
leftypoorboy 09-07-2010, 06:28 AM in with scottz if i can fix the carnage from last weekends trip in time.
robertd 09-07-2010, 07:48 AM The mud hole bypass is going to need some work. It is getting very tore up on the first climb off the main trail and the last drop before crossing the dry creek bed.
BIGJOEDUCKSLAYER 09-07-2010, 03:31 PM Let me see how my rig is doing after stampied in reno this weekend, if not to bad see you sat.
YJ_Lorence 09-07-2010, 05:21 PM where is this spot located on the trail or is off the main trail?

We've told about that and it's on the agenda to do something about it.
Thanks!
Just2Much19 09-14-2010, 09:07 PM I am sure this may sounds like a dumb question but where is the mud hole?
I have run the trail a bunch but never to WH1 or 2.
Tinman 09-15-2010, 07:51 AM Not a dumb question. It's at mile 6 1/4 from the Indian Springs trail head. That's about 1 1/2 miles before Winch Hill 1.
If the water level doesn't go down we won't be asking anyone to attend this workday anyway. I'm going to call PG&E today and see if I can get an idea what's going to happen with the release.
Been a heck of a year with the high release rates we've been seeing all summer!
YJ_Lorence 09-15-2010, 04:30 PM Thanks Tinman!!
will you post up any information you get about the flow rates?
BlackWidowCJ 09-16-2010, 10:48 PM I have run the trail a bunch but never to WH1 or 2.
We'll have to fix that Justin!
Tinman 09-17-2010, 10:00 AM Flow is down which is good but as you all may have seen my tow rig was totalled and both Jeff and Keith have some family responsibilites that will keep them away. We may just call this off and make it a start of the year project for next season. I'll post more info later today.
In the meantime the October meeting and run is still a big go!
Hope we get you all there to get your input on the trail and especially how we will introduce our anti white flower campaign in '11. We don't have a huge problem in that area and we want to keep it that way!
scottz 09-18-2010, 12:05 AM I should have my rig fixed and be ready to go if you are still planning on this. I will bring a lot more camping gear this time.:D
vhamacalvars 09-19-2010, 04:58 PM Is the trail going to blocked Saturday? Or will we be able to get past the workparty if we throw rocks for an horur or so?

You will be able to pass through. It might not be when you drive up but with in a short time. If the workday is still on I don't think Bret has anything planned that needs to close the trail for any period of time.

Excellent, thank you so much for your efforts!

It wouldn't have been blocked but it's a moot point now. We're going to cancel this one. As I posted earlier life has sort of gotten in the way and none of the Directors can make this run. Nothing we were going to do can't wait until next season so we'll make these projects our first of next year.
In the meantime plan on coming to our October 9th BBQ, meeting and fun run. We need your input and we want to pass out some FREE MEAT!
Please let us know if you'll attend so we can have enough food for all.
