1973 to 1987 GMC/Chevy Winch Bumpers.

There is not much on the body to interfere with the bumper design so I can do just about anything you want.

This one is styled basically like my other winch bumpers but can be modified of course. A few elements on this one were customer specified.

$475 plus shipping for one like this. (generally $65 to the west coast, but as low as $45 the closer you get to Louisville, KY) Email, PM or call for a shipping quote.

1/4" Mounts 3/16 construction.

Thanks for looking.

I've made and sold quite a few of the above bumpers.

Price for the above is now $450 plus a flat $65 shipping in the lower 48 states.

I've done a few different versions lately. PM for a price on these.

The first is a large bumper with the winch inside the bumper.

I just got an order for my first one and will built it as soon as I can get to the junkyard for a bumper/dimensions.

I'll have a new listing for them when it's finished as I've had a bunch of interest.

If you don't see it in a few weeks post up and remind me:D

Thanks,

I think I did that one for the same price as the regular bumper: $450 plus $65 shipping.

What kind of skid? There's nothing to bolt the other end to, unless you go back up to the frame maybe?

I could extend that lower panel down and add some holes or plas out a design.

Price on that will vary, but I do a skid plate on Jeep ZJs that is $75 extra.

James

Think u could make one for a '77 trail duster?

Yes.

Someone told me that older Dodge Front Frame rails are 28" apart like the Chevy...if that's true we're good to go.

I can make mods of course to make it fit otherwise.

Let me know if you want to order one.

Thanks,

James

First pic. He said his frame horns are bent a bit and he's not finished adjusting.

There is plenty of adjustment in the bumper as the mounts are separate from the bumper.

This truck also has a 3" BL and I can make those brackets work with stock height or any BL.

Got hammered on shipping, so these bumpers are going to be $575 plus shipping to your zip. Plan on $100 but I'll get a quote. Cali might be a bit more, closer to 40213 (Louisville) should be a bit less.

http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j118/jamscal/88chevybumper.jpg

I'll make a new listing for these later bumpers in the near future.

No response from the customer...here is an in progress pic of the top of it. Access hole is for the winch lever of course. I can make that hole square, put a plate on top, etc.

I don't remember the weight of the tube bumper but it's less than the plate. My regular plate bumper is in the neighborhood of 70lbs. The tube bumper was probably 45-55lbs.

Interested in the bumper from pic 1 for my '86.

Got any pics of one with a bull bar/brushguard/ similar?
What would the added cost be for one added?

I'm looking for a little extra radiator protection against bambi as my rig is also a D.D...and a little extra winch protection.

Something like this would be sweet.

jamscal

I can do anything from a simple hoop as pictured to a full upper bar.

Upper bars welded on really hurts the shipping. In fact, they usually have to go truck freight.

I ship a bunch of tubes with the bumper but unwelded, and the customer has them welded on locally. A simple hoop like that may be an additional $50. Maybe $75 for a hoop with two side supports and $100 or more for full upper bar with two additional supports.

You might look at my xj or zj bumper threads to see some of those styles.

Thanks,

James

Hey, saw your bumpers.. they look great. How soon could I have one made for a 1997 Suburban, unpainted (like the one that is on the white explorer), that would handle a 10,000 pound wench? I am in Indianapolis and would be more than willing to drive down and pay in cash and pick it up when it is ready. I grew up in Valley Station. What side out Louisville are you on?

I don't paint any of them, and I'm about two weeks out currently on building bumpers.

Need at least a deposit to get started.

Got one going out tomorrow.

This is going to mount to the factory 1/2" thick mounts that stick out from the frame.

Don't have a truck to build from otherwise. Similar style to my explorer bumpers with tire carriers if you want to see one installed.

I'm interested in just the bumper center on the tube bumper to hold a 8274 and fit a 81-up truck.
Any idea what shipping to Alaska 99567 would be?

jamscal
01-01-2012, 08:19 PM
No pics on the big bumper installed unfortunately.

Hybrid bumper same price as the regular, upper hoop/side supports will have to be welded on locally to save on shipping. The winch should fit fine but I'll double check and make adjustments as necessary

Just the center can be made as well, but to make one for a 8274 would be more custom and not look exactly like the 'regular' center. I'm thinking $450 shipped to Alaska would be a fair price. (I'm guessing a center would run $75-100 in shipping charges).

PM, call or post for more info.

Thanks for the interest, guys.

Frame rails are 28" outside to outside...less than 24" inside if you're lucky.

Warn 12000 is just over 24" long, 8000 is under 22", so it would have to be offset.

But, pick your winch and I'll make anything for you, and hopefully sell a few more in the process.

Here's a 2000 I just did. Not too familiar with the later trucks and frame mounting differences for the 2000+, but we can compare notes.

Did a total bolt-on mounting over the factory mess of stock bumper mounts...really it needs to be cut off but some don't want to cut anything.
