I measured and 2 sm465's aren't going to fit, so i am pretty much fucked on the whole gearing thing. If i get spare time i am going to look into a 4:1 for the 205 but i don't expect much luck

hehehe, just do the 465-205, and get the klune later whn you have $$. That should get you to like 60-70:1 or so, and that'll be enough. Just learn how to use a clutch:flipoff2: !!!!

yeah, i welded em up, the spiders disentegrated in the rear, that's why it was so twitchy and weird. There's a selectable locker coming out next year, so I'm not gonna get a detroit anymore. you know what you need... rockwells!

I was just looking at Klune V info and i can't figure out how long the adapters are.

The 465's fit but i would have a 14" driveshaft, and i would have to do a lot of work on reducing the 465-205 adapter and i don't want to do that

ryan, get the 465 adapter from novak, it's only 3.25" long. Then there is an adapter/spacer from Klune for the 205. You'll need to change the input shaft on the 205 to a 32 spl female as well. The 465 output shaft changes to a 27 spl i think?? so, that's what you need!

it is 58:1 = not low enough for 40's (maybe 42's).

It's enuff if you can use a clutch, which you can't so you'll have to learn. Then when you get 200:1 you'll appreciate it more

McSoo, I was at Ecology last weekend for half price day. There was a older 3/4 ton Dodge with a divorced 205. It might still be there. I'm going tomorrow to another yard that usuallly has 3 or 4 laying around. Email me if you need more info.

I'm assuming you mean to meet at the dirt lot @ Coldwater Canyon road ( the dirt road off of 79 headed out to the trails) We'll attempt to be there, but if we sleep late, just go a few miles up the road & look off to the left... we'll be camped somewhere over there. I'll stay in view of the road. As you can tell by the time I'm posting this, we're headed out late... so the truck should still be on the trailer. my P/S still has an attitude, but it's working better than it has been. No digi video... I only have a Hi8 camcorder... :( But there was about an hour of video between lower woodpecker and H2H. H2H was fun... about 2 hours and no breakage! :D
