Ok I just bought a mildly built scout to rock crawl/ trail ride in. The scout didn't come with a top and I live in Missouri and would like to wheel in winter without completely freexing my testes off. My question is what year scout tops will interchange? My scout is a 1962 and I've been seeing a lot of scout II tops for sale around here. Will they fit? Does anyone know?

No. A scout II top will not fit your '62. In fact, anything later than ~'65 will not fit your '62.

Ok thanks for the info, I've been checking craigslist and just wanted to know exxactly what I was looking for. Does anyone know a good place to get offroad parts? Rock sliders, cage etc... I'll probably end up building my own but would like to see something to copy off of lol.

For a '62 Scout? :lmao:
It's ain't a jeep. There's no quadratec catalog. You better get a lot more creative.
Make your own. IH owners are cheap (aka frugal) resourceful bastards.

I have a hard top you can have for free. Come pick it up.

I am tired of looking at it.

Play web-search and see what others have built. Looks at on-line build threads and pages, wheeling pics ect.
VERY few IH specific shop, and even fewer with "hard core off-road parts" and almost none of them have anything like bumpers and sliders etc "off the shelf".

Sorry about that I live in the KC Mo area. I would come take that top off your hands but Idaho is a little drive for me... I figured on making my own bumpers, sliders, cage etc.. just wanted something to base my projects off. I'll just search on here and on google and see what I can find. I did find a 6 point cage from scoutparts.com but it comes unwelded so I think I'm just going to use it as a blueprint for my build. Thanks for the help guys.
