This from the owner of the 55 in Raleigh, NC that was posted for sale
yesterday, more information for those interested. I believe he's asking
$10,000. And because I know you all will yell "Pics!," here they are.

Hear ye, hear ye -- this is NOT my truck. I have never seen this truck in
person, and I do not know the owner of this truck. I am also not close
enough to Raleigh to go and look at it, but there are others on the list who
might be. It's looks straight, but it ain't cheap.

1977 FJ-55 Toyota Land Cruiser

The following is a short narrative with the history of the vehicle, as I
know it from my ownership and what was explained to me by the previous
owner. The previous owner purchased the vehicle from a young man in
Maryland in the early 1990’s, with the original engine and running gear
intact. However, the body showed signs of age; some rust on the rocker
panels and rear wheel wells. The body was painted brown, although the
original color was either red or red and white. The last owner put less
than 5,000 miles on the vehicle. Very few modifications have been made to
the running gear (Warn hubs added). She’s recently had a tune-up and also
has a new K and N washable air cleaner.
I bought the vehicle just over four years ago, and it now has 97,XXX miles.
Between the previous owner, and myself lots of overhauling has been done on
the old girl. This vehicle is a daily driver, and has performed flawlessly
in its service to me.

man...I gotta smoke less crack before 10am....

guess I got so caught up in the specs and pics I forgot to read...

bah....

For what it's worth (not much now that my already bad rep is in the crapper), a friend in Green Bay has his FJ55 wagon for sale too. Similar situation, but with a tired 350 conversion. Clean truck, same asking price. Not sure his is QUITE as clean as this one, but close.

fawk work....I'm going back to that 3rd grade remedial reading class....

Wonder if he will trade for a 76 FJ-55 and an 82 FJ-60? hehe

$10k

You could spend about 1/3 of that and end up with HCC's 40.
