isnt it push down while in netural and pull towards the seat? otherwise he would be shifting into 4h and 2. as for headers ya those are your only options for headers, im gunna hit up ebay for mine. there pace setters for 250 shipped

you are correct sir....I was posting while at work and not really thinking...so yes push down while pulling towards you...I thought the same thing when i got my truck 10 years ago and accidently found it but at that time I didnt do anything that required 4lo....now i rarely use 4hi

I would stay away from the pacesetters, havent heard too many great things about them. I love my thorleys, very nicely made, nice welds, thick material. The pacesetters just seem cheaper, thinner a little less care (which is shown in the price)

Also one of the reasons your manifolds are leaking is that one (or more) exhaust studs are probably broken on your truck. It is a common problem on the VG-30, so be prepared that you might have to deal with some broken exhaust studs.

You can get new studs from nissan which "supposedly" wont break, but they also cost a coupla bucks a piece.

As for the shifting into 4lo, do you have a body lift at all?? (spacers between the body mounts and the frame?) because if you do have a body lift you may have to trim the sheet metal a little bit, or straighten the shifter so it doesnt hit the floor.

No body lift. It shifts great into 4wh I am guessing anyways. BUT it wont go into 4wl. Is there a vac. line somewhere controlling that? I dunno what could be the issue I tried pushing down and yanking it back. Tried backing up 10 feet than trying to shift (at a stop of course) but nothing seems to work for me.

All mechanical linkage so u could check that...did u get any vertical movement in the shifter? It'll be noticeable

Yah it has vertical movement I am leaning towards some sort of blockage in the linkage because it does move into 4wh. Im going to check that out today.

I Know with my 3" BL I had to notch the floor a little to get it to go to LO and sometimes the boot can keep it going from there as well...I if you pull the carpet back theres like 8 10mm bolts to get the shift boot out and then a rubber insert that should let you get to the linkage pretty easy if you don't want to crawl under it

Are you making sure that when your trying to shift into low that the trans is in netural? I know it wont go in low uunless your in netural
