Hey guys just looking to get your opinion on this. Today I'm picking up this cherokee from a guy on CL it comes complete without the suspension (it had a Rubicon express 4.5 short arm kit) So heres my idea. I have a pair of 2.0- 14" race runner air shox nib just waiting to be put to good use. I plan on making my own links and long arm the front. My idea is to plate the uni-bod, build shock hoops, and tie it all together with an engine cage that will eventually tie into the internal cage. I know the rule of thumb is 1000# per corner and im sure its close and I guess that doesn't count un-sprung weight. Is this a good idea or shouls I just stick with coils?

I guess guess I'm just looking for some insight from someone who has run these shocks or know someone that has. I do all types of wheeling trail, snow, rock, sand. Oh yeah This cherokee is kinda a pile but is running full width 60/44. It's gonna be my budget rig to wheel while I continue to work on the "7". Just been off the trail for too long and I can't take it anymore!

I do not really think 2.0s have any place on the front of a full bodied rig. In a buggy, they can be made to work just fine. I will be running 2.0" SAWs in the rear of my MJ, and 2.5" Foxs in the front.

Hey thanks guys. I ended up passing on the rig. It was in way worse shape than this guy lead on to be. Good thing I got to take my trailer for a 300 mile ride:mad3:

I have 10" 2.0's on the front of the crzyxj and it handles fine. I am running a 300# spring and the ride is nice. On the rear may be another story as Ash pointed out.

He said air shocks, not coilovers, big difference, 2.0 airshocks are too light for it
