Ruckus 10-30-2002, 10:21 PM I found a pic of this very nice rig and i want to ask the owner a few questions. Its a Yellow YJ with a red cage. flatfendered, some kind of intake on the hood, slant rockers. CTM sticker. Anyone know this guy? Hahaha, I have been getting lots of E mails about sightings of my rig. The tranny went out in my F250, so I have been having to drive the Jeep for work, (to and from Shingle Springs/Sacto everyday). It is not the most comfortable or quiet ride, for 70 miles per day, but it does scoot along very well. As for the Ronald McDonald thing, the color is Catapillar yellow not Micky D yellow.:mad: and I could fuck up Ronald with my right hand tied behind my back:D , so dont get me started. :flipoff2: I can tell you one thing, I get more looks driving the Jeep down the freeway in rush hour traffic, than if I was in a Ferrari with my hair on fire. It definitely stands out! I have a set of bolt on mud flaps that I run when Im driving a lot on the streets,..it seems to keep the Law happy. I jumped out in front of a CHP this afternoon, when I needed to get in the fast lane to get around slower traffic on the long hill on Hwy50 before Bass Lake Rd. After I nailed the throttle to get up to speed with the fast lane, I noticed it was a CHP behind me, but I stayed at about 70mph untill I got off at Shingle Springs, and he just went on his way. I have been putting 500 miles or more per week on the Jeep since my truck tranny went out. Lots of city miles down in Rancho Cordova and Sacto,..so far know one has hassled me. Go figure???? G.C. Anyway, i pmed you H8, but i dont know if youve got it, but i wanted to ask you some specific questions about your wheelbase extending. My emails down at this time too, so maybe you could just post here and enlighten everyone!:D It looks like you moved your rear spring hangar back a few inches and mounted the shckle on your rear bumper, what rear springs are you using? How much total did the rear axle go back? Also, please tell me about the front extension too, what did you do about steering? Thanks, Ryan G.C.
