This is a set I just received to refurbish, ASCO manual hubs (look at the lettering on the center of the dial it says "ASCO" instead of "AISIN") which were on the early Toyotas and not something you see many of these days as they are getting harder and harder to come by. Anyway, I thought they turned out nice and hope the customer is happy with them.

As I received them, nasty, covered with RTV and greasy. The faces also had quite a few of the big spring tabs busted off so the faces had to be replaced.

This is how I got them and this is after disassembly and sitting in the parts washer soaking a few days. Note the stuff on the left dial lower left corner. That is/was a dirt dobber nest.

How do you get the letters back to silver after powder coating? Dremel and a buffing wheel? Very nice looking hubs, but I'm pretty surprised there is a market for this, seeing as it's a pretty simple job. You do top notch work, definitely not trying to discredit your services.

Got a set of ASCO's I am really considering pulling off for this. Do you take special requests?

-Such as Coating the dial ASCO blue instead of IFS red?
EDIT: Or even the 79 LE white.

-And is it possible to paint the bolt heads, Hub body to help better agaisnt corrosion...(all mine are really bad)

Doing anything well makes it look simple to others doesn't it Cary? :D

On the custom colors, I can do any color available in powder coating.
I stock black and red. Special color would be cost of powder, but easily doable.

I use new bolts and I'd really have to see the hub body to see if it could be cleaned up and PC would help.

These were painted with something. My best guess is perhaps caliper paint. Whatever it was it didn't work very well so they were sent to me to make them look new again.
