Rich
cbassett 10-31-2002, 01:22 PM Are these snow runs going to be big dog runs, or can little guys with 36s expect to hang with the crowd too?
MellowYellow 10-31-2002, 01:57 PM That's pretty funny that you think 36's are "small dogs".
I wonder if I can even help as event staff with my little 32's.:emb2:
THE CHAD 10-31-2002, 02:28 PM yeah baby i'm in !!!!!!

Big Rich 10-31-2002, 05:28 PM Anyone interested in running the "Snow Run and a Dinner" must e-mail me. I need some info before assigning any spots.
This will be a difficult run, I recommend at least 35's and a winch WILL be a must.
Info needed:

Address
Phone #
E-mail
PBB name
Reference (who do you know from this board, if I know you already, cool but remind me, I have a bad Memory)
I will send you an entry form via e-mail, after I have checked everything out.

I may tease, :D but I'd never strip
It will be cold, being snow and all, how warm is your gear or what you decide is up to you.
This is not a spectator type of run.....burrrrrrrr and on an 8 mile loop, no where to view the run, unless you bring snow shoes, besides this is only a "Snow Run and a Dinner" not some kind of event:p of course if you want to hangout at Bambi's your welcome
or if you own a snow cat, then call me ;)
Rich
ItsaCJ6 10-31-2002, 07:22 PM I'd love to drive cat for ya Rich but its too far to take and I will be working.. Got a cat close by ? If you can find one, I'll come drive it. I can always be sick. No Piston Bully's please Bombi's only.

Just printed out the entry form and going to send it in!!!
THE CHAD 11-01-2002, 07:54 AM only way that run will be that difficult is if you can beat all the locals up there after it snows. otherwise lockers optional and winch optional. that trail gets used alot:D

There are lots of roads in that area, and the steepest, narrowest, and hairiest ones are the ones we have picked out.
So don't worry.....It will be difficult:D :D
Rich
ItsaCJ6 11-01-2002, 09:39 AM Sorry Rich
Piston Bully is a type of cat, I don't like them very much.
Bombi is also a cat short for Bombardier.
like this one.

Snow cats are no fun, too slow and usually no CD player:p
ItsaCJ6 11-02-2002, 02:31 PM 15 MPH through 6 foot of powder with snow cresting the windshield .. CD player blasting Gravity Kills.
what is most usefull is the fact, that with the cat, I can build road anywhere you want. As along I stay below 45 degrees on sidehills. With the grooming winch, I can climb and decend 75 degree slopes at controlled speed.
Factory standard items..
Cd player
foot print is 16 x 16
HP 275 cumming turbo diesel
14,500 GVW
10 way blade
recaro shock seats
60 gallon fuel tank
But if you want to go fast, Skido summit 800cc two stroke butt rocket, will get you there at about 80mph while porposing drifts.
Wilson 11-02-2002, 05:02 PM I'm starting my fund, it's getting on the slow time of year for me. I know I can beat onetoncv and dirtbag7-11:flipoff2:
WhiskeyTango 11-02-2002, 07:50 PM So are there different classes for entry or just one free for all? Also if you don't enter can you still go hang out along the "track" and watch people haul ass?
The christmas tree hunters may be an issue that weekend as well. All who have been up there before christmas know these folks can and always do get in the way of wheelers if there's enough snow.
I'm not trying to pee on the parade, just bringing up issues that could be preplanned for so things run smoother.

You need a DL to Skippy:D and your feet must touch the pedels too:flipoff2:All kidding aside, it's not uncommon to have that rule on an organized run, keeps from taking forever pullin a unprepared rig out of the snow:p :p I don't care if ya have a winch and go wheelin witrh my group, but this is an organized thang...................
rEdNEcKwHeE1eR 11-29-2002, 09:11 PM Well ya don't need a winch unlees you get stuck:flipoff2:
Or need to pull yall out:flipoff2:
rEdNEcKwHeE1eR 11-29-2002, 09:12 PM A comeallong is technicly a winch:flipoff2:
Kensoffroad 11-29-2002, 09:17 PM you need a rig and a drivers liscence before you need to worry about not havin a winch kiddo:flipoff2:

rEdNEcKwHeE1eR 11-29-2002, 09:50 PM It seems like half the posts on here some how end up talking about wacking off:rolleyes:
Big Rich 11-29-2002, 10:36 PM If and when it finally snows, we'll see how many will used their winches, seeing that there are 3 creek crossings:D

UNLESS YOUR LEFT HANDED!!
THE HANS 11-30-2002, 09:03 AM WHAT CREEK CROSSINGS, ARE YOU GUYS GOING TO HEAD UP TO THE HIGH LAKES ? THE ONLY CREEK CROSSINGS IM AWARE OF ARE IN THE HIGH LAKES, IF U ALL GO UP THAT WAY THERE WILL BE SNOW THERE, I DONT THINK THERE WILL BE SNOW AT BUTTE METTOWS.
Big Rich 11-30-2002, 09:27 AM I don't know the area, Mike Ladd took me and sillyneck on a ride to the area. I remember 3 creekbed crossings, 2 of which are steep on at least one side. Mike says they run the area in the winter, when theres snow. We'll postpone until we have enough snow. There are 2 more runs, If we get snow planned for the uncle tom's/Robb's area. These will be all about fun and get'n it in the snow.
Rich
THE HANS 11-30-2002, 09:32 AM nabe the creek crossing was just for that couple of days, in the snow it attends to start melting and make its own creek for a couple days intill it freazes up agin:confused:
THE HANS 11-30-2002, 09:35 AM with alll the events you do,do you have to have a winch for each one? im trying to get a winch so i can go to more events,i love the events.
Big Rich 11-30-2002, 09:44 AM Yes on the winch, heres the reasoning.
If you get boogered in some way, we need to be able to get you moved quick, and we may not have a recovery vehicle available or nearby at the same time.
Or
If the guy infront of you has a problem we may need you to help him out of harms way, for the same reasons stated above.
And
We are trying to help out the winch companies :D (not really)
It truly is just another safety item, like a fire ext, or a first aid kit.
Promoting safety, your safety.
Rich
THE HANS 11-30-2002, 09:46 AM DO YOU KNOW ANYBODY THATS SELLING ONE, I NEED ONE
Big Rich 11-30-2002, 09:50 AM If you mean used...not at this time. New, check with Mike Ladd, or Alan at www.rockbuggysupply.com
