napz671 10-02-2010, 03:07 AM hey i need help guys.... i have a 85 nissan 720 with 44 mikuni's and it keeps back firing in the intake manifold any ideas on how to solve that?i changed spark plugs...made sure all the wires are in the right order....and it still back fires i tried the screw on the top near the manifold i shut off the vacs and tried them open but its the same thing... i just put a new filter and still back fires please help... pclem 10-02-2010, 07:41 AM the truck it self backfires or the carbs do ? if its the truck your running really rich and have an exhaust leak somewhere my old 4runner did that. just tune your carbs and find the leak. if its the carbs you might be consider running a fuel pressure regulator. it may be that your fuel pump is supplying way to much fuel at to high a pressure, so if you get an fpr you should be golden desert reign 10-05-2010, 12:18 PM Is your cam timing and ignition timing correct? | |
