no i was getting a L98, they didn't use the LT1's until 92. I would pick a L98 over a LT1 any day, the LT1's dont' have distributors, they have the crap electic optispark ignition that crap out if they get wet, that will definetely not work on a jeep!

By the way Darko, I doubt you'll break any axle shafts, even if you leave the AMC 20 in, it's pretty tough to break shafts pushing it around the garage, you have to actually DRIVE it. :flipoff2:

you can put the TPI on a LT1 if you redrill the intake bolt holes. The carbed LT1s use distributors. put one of these jobbers on there :D

Hey glad to see you got the TPI and forgot the 401. I think you'll be happy in the long run. Now just keep the auto.

I you wanna beef up the performance a little get a set of Vortec heads and Scoggin Dickey Chevy in Lubbock, TX makes a TPI base mainfold tht bolts to the Vortec heads.

Hey don't be so hard on the LT-1/4 they work just fine in the desert and for those off us who refuse to play in mud and streams.;)

I saw a test in some mag on the new Holley stealth ram and was not impressed with its numbers over the Holley port injected throttle body manifold they tested it against. Miniscule gains in torque and hp.:(

Not only is the L98 TPI one of the best choices for low end torque....it looks so awesome under the hood!

true that, it does look sweet, it belongs in the jeep engine bay

the L98 is sweet becuase it makes all the power under 4500 rpm 345 ft/lbs of torque baby :flipoff2:
