: Creature comforts in tow rig?
ROKN ZJ 11-01-2002, 12:28 AM I was just wondering what mods ya'll have made to your tow rigs? I have 2 TVs and a DVD player, as well as XM radio in mine. It makes road trips easier to handle.
I usually just use a cooler for refreshments, and I can throw an inflatable matress ion the back for overnight trips....
Anyone have an ARB fridge? ON board air, or a welder? I've been thinking about adding thsoe things to my tow rig to make it more of a suport vehicle for my trail rig, and i was just wondering what everyone else had.

If we end up taking a loooong trip out west, I plan to remove teh factory center console and mount an ARB cooler in it's place.
StinkBug 11-01-2002, 10:54 AM the chevy i just picked up came with some aftermarket wood kit and Leather seats. I dont really care for wood, but the center console is very functional, and the seats are waaaaay more comfy than stock chevy seats. Oh and i also added about 700watts of stereo :flipoff2:

jp008 11-04-2002, 11:26 PM Hmmmm creature comforts......lets see.
1996 Kenworth stretched with a 30' custom built motorhome addition and slide out. Satellite, DVD, home theatre, central heat front and rear with A/C front and rear. Microwave, fridge, full size bathroom, and a bedroom w/queen size bed with tv/vcr.
As far as the trailer goes fold down rear ramp for vehicles (remote control of course), fold down side door for atv's and bikes (remote control), swinging personel door. Room for 3 crawlers or 1 Monster Truck, 1 personal vehicle or crawler and 2 Harleys.

i wanted that upgrade as well. until my dealer warned me about how the inside of the windows fog up with a vinyl film coating. is this true?
Tuffjarhed 11-19-2002, 05:53 AM Go to your Gm dealer and ask about the GMC Sierra Professional package. This is a shameless plug, as we build them here in my plant, but it has a cup cooler/warmer console with a BUILT IN fridge in the console, a locking tool box under the back seat (makes transporting firearms legal in all fifty states) and some other cool stuff. (like six auxillary power plugs) Check it out.
