I was contacted by the City of Disney today, they are attempting to work out a plan to help boost their local economy and relize that the rocks below the dam are their best asset and have asked me to help them with a list of events or even groups just coming to visit in the next year, or are looking for some place to visit. If you could email this info to me I would apprieciate it. Also help me keep this alive so that everyone has a chance to see and respond.
Thanks
P.S. Don't forget about the cleanup run December 14th at Disney.
Do they have a fairgrounds with a dirt infield in town? I'll come put on a mud race - seriously, if they can hook me up with a promoter or local civic group looking for a fund raiser :)

That is great news, I will pass it on to my local club. I would love to see some events closer to where I live and Disney fits the bill great. I wish Clayton would do the same.

Sorry TEX no fair grounds. This community is very small and is basically on an island, they have the lake on the north side and the spill ways around the east, south and west.
Please keep the ideas and such rolling we have a great opertunity here lets use it to our advantange.

We've talked about that but we haven't found anybody that has the time and is willing to put forth the effort to do this it is labor intensive and time is short in supply. Keep in mind these folks aren't enthusists but they do like us and like our money and they like us visiting their town.

I hope to have my junk back together by early spring for a weekend run down there. I hope to get there a few times if possible.

See if you can get them to make a better representation of the dams condition then this stuff I use.
These two are from the corps of engineers, they will give you an idea of the water level in the lake and how much water they are letting through the dam but many have a hard time telling what is OKAY wheeling from what looks like niagra falls.

Can't beat Frosty & Edna's for breakfast.
Must have missed this thread on the first time through...
Our club is planning an outing either March 14th or 28th. I heard there was a big-tire run on March 14th? Lack camping space that weekend could change our minds.

We've been discussing making a video from a site back east. Disney and Tellico have been tossed around. Everyone east of Arizona that I met at SEMA seemed to be starving for some love. I'd love to see some of the freakshow Disney rigs getting it. It would need to be a well sponsored event to offset the travel costs but I think companies would be interested.
