Here's the latest 2011 introduction. This is the Power I- MIG 205P IGBT inverter Pulse MIG. It is the latest and newest pulse mig welder from Everlast, with 200 amps of power with a 35% duty cycle. It offers improved portability and convenience over the older cabinet design pulse MIG without sacrificing spool size capacity which is still 44 lbs max.
Development work began last year and is now completed. Improvements include the addition of spool gun which will allow smoother and more direct feeding of Aluminum to maximize the versatility of the MIG.
Single pulse design operates up to 250 hz, yielding nice, near-TIG like welds. Also, offered as an upgraded feature, the I-MIG 205P offers stick welding ability. Retained from the older design is the wave form control (inductance) used on other Power I-MIG designs. The unit pictured is an early model production run for evaluation and testing.
Final production appearance will be somewhat different with improved visual groupings for easier understanding of adjustment. Several models like this are available however, immediately. Full production schedule models that will feature visual improvements should be available soon.
