Here's the word from Al Franklin from the BLM, he said we are all supposed to meet at the community center in Rescue Sunday morning.! help me get the word out ASAP. the community center is in downtown Rescue where we had the last public meeting, just 100 yards west of Green Valley / Deer Valley intersection ..
Work party leaders should meet with BLM at 8am @ community center.... general public volunteers should meet there between 8:30 and 9am..

I'm tickled to see Brian, Brandon, Steve, and the RCRC crew step up to take the lead on this, and all the many other clubs and independents working together.
I picked up a gas-powered breaker at close of business today, and will bring it up early AM for serious roadwork. Those of you who may be using it (trust me, it ain't gonna be me the whole day), please bring steel-toed shoes, gloves, and hearing protection.
I'll also be bringing my digging bar, a shovel, a chainsaw, and plenty of drinking water... I'm planning for a hard day of work. See you all at the Rescue community center (4060 Green Valley Road, Rescue, CA) early Sunday morning.

This is the time to put our money and labor where our mouths are. I sat through more than a year of public meetings to get here, and will be there working on the trail, rain or shine. I hope that the rest of you folks who have enjoyed this trail over the years, or who plan to use the trail to access the South Fork of the American River over the next few years will do the same. More than a few folks showed up for the final meetings -- I hope to see many of those folks on Sunday.
