ok on my front waggy 44 the drivers side part of the cast housing is wide as hell because part of the cast housing is the spring perch. the question is... can i grind away what i dont need to make the brackets fit right or will that be a problem?

i can take pics tonight if anyone doesnt know what i mean.

Can't grind it off---it's part of the center section. You will have to fab a perch for that side!

I ground mine down, removed alot of material.

I ground the cast in perch down even with the perch on teh tube VS raising th eperch on the tube to match the cast in perch, hopefully this will alleviate the springs rubbing the high clear steering linkage dilema.

My problem is i have a TJ. the diff is too wide i dont have enough room to weld to the tube. can i grind some away down to the tube to make everything fit right? or can i weld to the housing.

On my CJ I ground the diff down some and made a taller spring perch for the other side. Added about 1" to the lift but works fine. Personally I wouldn't grind the diff clear down to the tube.

I did the same thing as the previous post. I grined quite a bit into the side of the casting so I could fit a u bolt. I think it just depends how much u need to go
