I'm not sure if any of you were at the Foothill Offroad event in Auburn, Cali but I'm trying to find some specs on this TJ. It's a little shiny, I just want to see how he did the rear flares because I'm thinking of doing it something like he had it.

They look like flares off a early CJ

Thats what I was thinking...

those are the type of flares that you buy in a roll and cut them to length and then form them to the fender well.They have a wire that runs on through the outer edge that helps them to hold there shape.
We've sold 1 or 2 boxes but i can't really remember a name. If you can't find the name then give me a call on Monday and i'll look it up

Looks like the stuff that Daniel used for the rear fenders on the Dodge 6x6. Might try him.

4WP has that stuff tell them its in the back of one of the chrome acc cataloges in a pic of a sammy no one can ever find it:D

Yup.. I put a set of those on my bronco... they look decent, can be made to fit anything, and best of all, they are pretty inexpensive..

They have the things at Pep Boys, they look nothing like CJ flares. So I guess I did help you and I'm not here to get into a fight about what a "real man's Jeep" looks like, but it sure isn't a show Jeep that's pink with rear panels that look like flames! Don't have any pics of mine to post right now or I would.:flipoff2:

Ian, no problem. Your Scrambler sounds like it's built with all the right stuff. I do agree with you on the flaming paint job, I guess the guy has the need to draw attention to himself. BTW, I used to have a 1981 Scrambler that I'm kicking myself for selling.

JC whitney sells flares in a roll similar to those. My buddy has them on his samurai. The are just universal ones, ugly, but pretty durable. Good luck:D

Hey Virgil:flipoff: I know who sells those flares! There made by a company named Pacer. Virgil you know where to get them.

That's probably a vinyl sticker, not paint. A good freind of mine owns a Graphics company and had his CJ-7 covered in 50 lbs of vinyl sticker, until recently.

try here... flares are gay, unless its a DD or street legal rig. why get pulled over every other day for not having anti-spray devices.
