What do you think would it be like a ring-n-pinoin
and blow up:nuke: or do you think it would be fine:D maybe ive just  too much but i need to know

possibly 3?? Whole crap!!
NP205 weighs in at 140lbs. 3 would be 420LBS!! in T-cases alone.
this would be for the purpose of............................??
8:1 reduction??
Hulk runs an NP203 backwards for overdrive, so there is a good chance its do-able.

Well see Im a cheap bastered and dont really have the money for an atlas or a klune there for must get a good crawl ratio 2 t-cases is fine but it could stand to be lower. See i have an other post about gear cuts helcia or straight in 205 from that post They say it helica cut in 205 but straight cut in D24 and I also have one of those laying around too. So I think I would be better off with the D24, most likely like ring gears the 205 might go boom:nuke: cause the gears? But who knows I could go into history for demlishing a 205 :D Bragging rights another piece to add to the wall of shame more like a ROOM.

Why exactly would you go down in history for that?? It has happened many times before and will happen many more times in the future..

Yeah trust me you don't have the bragging rights of being even close to the first to fragg a 205.....I have a dent in the roof of my Bronco from a 205 gear piece as well as the patched floorboard. So far that truck has fragged 3 in it's lifetime. And I know of MANY other peeps here who have done similar carnage.

As for running it backwards.....it's been done, but application I saw it in was a off road tractor thingy, so deffinatly never saw the fast side of 30 mph............ try it and see what happens I say lol

Rouge Bronco, (or Hulk): do you have any more info on running the 203 backwards? I assume that you only run the range section. Did it require a custom adaptor to go from the tranny to output (input for this purpose) of the range box? What about range box to transfer case? This sounds like an interesting way to keep revs down at crusing speed. Though since my drive line really only has room for one more thing, it would probably make more sense to go for lower gears...

Look on BC4X4 for the hulk built by Ryeguy, who is sometimes here as well...

I don't have any info on running the NP203(range box) backwards. I'm goin multiple T-cases so I can stick with some go fast gears. :D :D

If you're really just looking for a passenger drop 205 Dodge ones are not that hard to find, if you want to run the 205 backwards as an overdrive....well, try it and see, but a 51% overdrive is pretty tall, better have some deep gears, that would make 5.13's about 2.60's

I've been lookin into the 203 range bos backwards for the 1 ton IH I have (6.17's) Others have done it successfully, so I see no problem in doing it. Even with 6.17's it will leave me around 3.07 (kinda tall for haulin a load, and kinda scary fast for the old drum brakes)

Wouldn't putting the case in backwards gear you up not down? What if you are so desperate to run that case if you just rotate it with bracketry to keep it out of the way of your drive line? just keep it full of greese and your good to go. or like they said just find one for a dodge or IH, I think maybe all of 70s IHs at least half tons have divorced 205s
