Looking to do a move to Az. Likely the Phx area. What parts of town do I avoid for living. Wheres the wheeling in relation to Phx ? Hows Moon Valley ? Location doesnt matter for work , I work for myself.

Rig is 15% Jeep the rest is tube, linked, locked on 40s .

Have you looked into Lake Havasu?? The wheeling is great, and you have the lake for boating. No bad areas to live snd very little crime..

Its hot everywhere in az. Except maybe at the top of a mountain somewhere.

All along the river has great wheelin in the cool months and watersports in the hot months.

Havasu, Parker, Quartzsite.

Heat dont bother me , I'd much rather be hot than cold ! The river/boats are no great draw for me , I grew in South Fl little burned out on boats. They are fun but no big deal. Only thing Ive ever owned more expensive than a buggy is a boat.

north phx is closest to table mesa if you need to be in the city for work. anthem, carefree, new river, and black canyon city are even closer if you don't need to be in the city or don't mind being 30 miles out of town.

moon valley is north phx. sounds good.

Kind of depends on where you're going to work and how far you're willing to commute. The valley is very spread out. I live 20 minutes from the staging area for FJ, but it takes me an hour to get to PHX airport. The West side statistically has a higher crime rate and South Phoenix is the gheto. But it doesn't take long to get into a nice neighborhood from either area.

As far as living close to good wheeling for a Juggy goes, Parker & Havasu is where it's at. TM (Table Mesa) used to be the "it" place, but it's becoming a PITA now. Land is being sold off to the highest bidder, trails are being closed as a result, trash is constantly dumped there, and the BLM makes promises they don't keep. FJ, Superior, Mammoth, and surrounding areas is good, but you have to be in with the cool kids to know where all the secret trails are...and that's a tough egg to crack.

If I didn't have to work, or could work from home, I would live in the middle somewhere, either in the Prescott or Payson area. At least up there you get a break from the heat, which was never-ending this year :hot:

I live in the north valley and like it, Deer Valley area. Plenty of wheeling in almost all directions. Close to the Lakes too for summer fun.

Thanks everyone I think I found a place in Moon Valley, Im just trying to work out the logistics of the move now. Trying to avoid the multiple trips from UT to AZ to move my crap.

Phoenix is a good place to be FROM! Ask me how I know. The traffic sucks the majority of the people are asses when they are behind the wheel. Speed cameras all over on the freeways....At least they have more than one freeway up there.
Moon valley is snob city! But a good area to live if you have to live in the valley. when I was young Moon Valley was out in the desert! Not that way anymore.

Phoenix is AWESOME! The best wheeling in the state is an hour in either direction. Moon Valley is a great area of PHX with larger lots, secure neighborhoods, and mid-higher income families that are edumacated. :grinpimp:

Tucson sucks, has no forseeble water source for growth, and you have a good chance of getting pulled over and thrown to the ground by undercover Border Patrol! :flipoff2:
