i have a 77 datsun 620 that im turning into an offroad toy , i want to keep the l20b that it has and im wondering what , if any manual 4x4 transmissions fit it? i was thinking there has to be some later year 4x4 nissan trans/tcase that will bolt up to the l20b?

I am pretty sure the Nissan ka24 tranny will bolt up but be rotated like 12deg, and its married up with a drivers side drop t-case. Get on some Datsun sites and they can give you a for sure annswer. I have saw 2wd trucks that had a motor swap to the KA24 but kept the original tranny by doing a bell swap.
