IN STOCK!! :smokin:

We have our first run of TJ and YJ back half kits available and ready to ship. Our kit comes ready to weld and is keyed for easy installation. Our back half kits allows the most room available between the frame rail and your axle tube making for an easier application in low stance setups.

Moving the frame rails under the tub allows the space needed to clear your shocks, coil overs, air shocks or struts. We've included a rear bumper with beefy clevis ends for tow points.

We are offering this first run at an introductory price of $389 plus shipping. If you would like to place an order you can contact me at 316.337.5311. If you have questions you can also email me at andy@trailworthyfab.com.

You can order direct from the site here:

http://www.trailworthyfab.com/TJ-YJ-Back-Half-Kit.html

We look forward to earning your business. :grinpimp:

Dumb questions: what about rear body mounts? Looks like you have to cut the body under the tailgate, what if I have a one inch body lift? Any type of guide where to cut the stock frame? What's your favorite ice cream flavor?

You cut the bottom of the tub to locate the frame as high as possible. If you are running a body lift you will still need to trim the bottom channel but you can retain the body mounts however you prefer.

The stock frame needs to be cut back where the bend starts. It has been my experience that most bends are just a little bit different but our setup works well for all of them.

I like rocky road ice cream. Something about chocolate and marshmallow together really tickles my pink.

Any other questions please let me know. :smokin:

I think this would work well for my 116" full body rear steer TJ.

They aren't flat as they are precision bent :D

This setup requires weldage!

We originally intended these back half kits to allow room for coilovers, shocks, and suspension stuff. I believe we have found out that YJ guys are using these to replace rotten frames which is a great idea!!

Don't forget these are great for a TJ or YJ!!

What is the clear width between the rear frame rails once this kit is installed? It looks a little narrower than just the width of the tub and I'm curious if I can get my fancy aluminum tank to fit.

31.5".

I plan to sink the RCI 2161a tank in between them. It will fit just right.

What tank do you plan to run?? Let me know if you need any more measurements. :)

I love that's what she said setups...

I have a Gen-wrong crawler tank. I'm not a huge fan of the company (loved Robert but no so much the attitude from the rest) so I wouldn't have bought it from them but I got it NIB for $350 from a local so...

I don't think there are any backhalf kits that don't relocate the frame rails under the tub. Therefore I don't think a gen right tank will fit with any of them. I would advise you just sell it off and have one made to fit how you want or just run a rci or such and sink it down some like Dookey said.

Andy,

Does cutting the tub "crossmember" out from underneath the tailgate make the tub very flimsy in the back?

For the body mounts that mount in the rear crossmember: as the factory setup has these wider than the ~36" width of this kit it looks like you have cutouts in place on the replacement crossmember- do these bolt through the tub? Can you show a picture of this?

Missed it the first time. I apologize about the delayed response.

If you leave the tub cross member out of the game then yes, it will be flimsy. If you reinforce things then you shouldn't have much of a problem. I plan to tie the corners back into the frame in some form or fashion. I cut the whole cross member out of there when I really should have only cut the section out for the frame.

I don't think you can go over board when it comes to holding the tub to the frame. So it is a very good idea to add some structure back there. I added some brackets on the inside of the frame to catch the tub cross member under the seat. Now I just need to tie the furthest rear section of the tub back into the frame.
