Is anyone running a C6 Atlas combo in an EB? If so, are you having front driveline problems using a stock EB 44? How much body lift and suspension lift?

I don't know about fitting a C6, but the general consensus seems to be that you can build a C4 strong enough for just about any need you're likely to have.
What kind of front driveline problems were you thinking you might have? I beleive that the C6 is longer than the C4 which would put the Atlas farther from the from diff, so there shouldn't be a problem there. The back end in another question. How much longer is the C6 than the C4?

Here's the deal. I had the C6 Atlas in a hybrid, everything made to fit, including extended WB. I'm building a more conventional EB and want to use what I have. I do have an EB C4/D20 that I can install but it won't do what the C6 Atlas will without spending a ton of money. In thy hybrid I had 'just enough' front driveline clearance. I won't have the suspension or body lift I had so clearance might be an issue. Length of the rear line is not a problem.
The other opton is to sell the C6 Atlas and build up the C4 and get a set of O'brien gears. Anyone got $2500 they want to part with? :D

You had just enough clearance to what?
The low pinion on the eb d44 should make up for the lack of lift and I doubt the 44 pumpkin is more centered than that pos 60 you were running.
Besides it's just a grocery getter so just clock that Atlas down a notch or two. :flipoff2:

Wait a sec, two questions. POS 60? Grocery getter? A grocery getter hu, I'll let you figure that out on the 7th of July. And you don't like the 60's?

OPPs forgot the extra flipoff, just trying to rattle your cage. Don't like em? Are you kidding, what's it been, a month? I still got wood and they aren't even installed yet. :D

Then I'm happy. Nothing like a satisfied customer. You ready for the 38.5's yet? :flipoff2: :flipoff2: One grand and their yours, with the beadlocks.

I'm semi-kidding about the trans and Atlas. I want to try and squeeze them in first. But it's a 4.3.

the 38.5X14X16.5 SX's only have about 100 miles on them and are mounted on Agressive beadlocks with an inner safety bead added. 4 ea.

I was just thinking...

I have a D20 with Obriens and was thinking trade for the Atlas, but I too am not really serious about it. I like the case/gears but would like a stronger out put shaft and don't really want to pay the $400.00 for WH/Adv Adpt. Do you like the new shaft?

Getting off topic...TTT

If I was going with the 20 Obrien gears I would also upgrade the output shaft to the WH one.

You can't get off topic, this is the Ford section :D
