Hey all, just wanted to give a shout out to ya'll. I kinda fell off the face of the earth since I moved to Denver and now have no internet access, except at work.

I've been spending all of my spare time gathering info on building my Caddy 472 *THE RIGHT WAY* Things are coming along well I have about 80% of the $$$ Needed to get this project off the ground, but I'm still saving.

Cliffhanger, are you working with Maulis on the Caddy motor? He does so many of those Caddy swaps I would just assume you have talked to him.

I don't think I know who you're talking about. I've done about 6 Caddy swaps myself, so I usually do them SOLO! Does this person live in my area?

I'm actually building the engine here in Denver, but I'm gonna take it up to NE to stab it in the RIG!

Cliffhanger, REF is talking about Jim Maulis JR. (Scout Pro) in Sedela Colorado he close to Denver just outside of Castle Rock. He builds alot of Caddy motors for Scouts, builds some sweet 392's, does panel replacement, 5 speed conversions, SOA, RS's and build adapters, I think he has had a few of his personal trucks in Mags a few years ago.

Didn't mean to imply you needed help cliffhanger. Just don't know many people doing the caddy swap, you move to Denver which is real close to where Jim lives and he has does a hell of a lot of these swaps. He makes sick power out of them as well.

No offense taken. I've noticed quite a jump in the number of caddy swaps going on/in since My step dad and I started doing them back in '94! and a few of those have been into scouts.

I plan on netting myself about 500 horses and at lest 475ft lbs out of my 472!! But not all of that will be realized since I plan on running Single exhaust with a turbo muffler and catalytic converter. On top of that I'll only have 4.10 gears turning my 37's so a lot of power will be lost there. This is all been the plan all along. This way I have the power to do the trails well, while I run highway-ish gears (when matched with 37's)

Anyway off my soapbox!
