At the end of this month (30nov and 1dec) we are going to have our first proper rockcrawling comp (similar to ARCA rules) and Im involved in running the competition so I friend of mine is going to compete in my rig.

So this has motivated some modifications. Heres the list:

1 - Redo the upper links on rear suspension for less antisquat.
2 - New 3.5L rover motor (sort of new and definately better than my current one) adapted to a BW T-18 adapted to the lt95 tranfer giving an overall crawl of 85:1.
3 - Put in a front arb air locker (to go with the rear arb - going to bust some parts now)
4 - New seat/harness and a new fuel cell
5 - new paint (something really loud) and maybe a bit more bar work

So thats the plan. Heres a few pics of us starting the rebuild.

And one with the cab off. If anyone want to see any pics of how I mounted the body then now is the time to ask.

That would be me, so Im asking.

Did you use any of the RR outriggers, or did you cut them off and weld on Series outriggers.

Got the rear links done today. This is what we ended up with. Its got much longer upper links and the upper and lower are now almost parallel.

Also today we adapted the rover v8 to the BW t18. Just have to drill the rover flywheel to take the ford clutch and its done. The adaption of the T-18 to the lt95 transfer was done previously. Still got to finish putting the v8 together.

Also heres a couple of pics that show the body mounts.

Front mount - just a piece of 3x2 angle.

Firewall mount. The base justs mounts off the slider. Basically the sliders were built first and the firewall base and the seat box mounts to them.

And the rear mounts to a piece of RHS that runs across the back (its just tek screwed ATM). Also in this pic you can see the rear roll cage attachment. In the pic of the firewall base mount there is another hole for the front of the cage mount.
