Afternoon fellas, I recieved 4 12bolt rims from Trailworthy the other day and one of them is of a different design that the other three. From what I've read the inner half with the angled inward o-ring grove as well as the outer half centering hole is the old style, correct? Can I use a new outer with a older inner? Should I order the centering washers if I intend on running these on the road? The inner half that I suspect is the older style also has two bends opposing eachother, anybody see any problems here if I straiten them? Feel free to add your opinions about running these. Thanks...

The version with the centering hole is the newer style and takes a different type of o ring.

I have ONE of these wheels. The other 5 I have need the centering washers. I did not remember this and put them together without the washers...even with a shit ton of weight...they still bounce all over the road.

I am in the process of 'one at a time' taking them apart and adding the washers. The one that I have completed this task on used only 6 oz of weight.

I did get 5 new o rings from trailworthy the other day...I will be replacing those and also the valve stem seal too. Not sure why I did not do this before...but...

I talked with the 'hummer parts guy' about the o ring situation...the washer style wheel and the centering hole style. Different o rings needed...very helpful guy, so was trail worthy...

I can take pix.

The o rings that we send out work perfect with both styles of wheels. I send out/use MUCH thicker O rings than what the Gov. uses. I'd like to thank them for using too little of an O ring as it allows me to get very nice tires when they leak:grinpimp: You can straighten it if you wanted, it will not effect anything either way. You are not centering your wheel off of that if you are recentering them and that will not effect it in any way as to how it would run down the road if they were stock wheels. We chuck up our shells and make sure they run true. You can use the style that have the extra hole in them with the rings that do not and they work perfect too. It's all about having the right o ring. If it doesn't work let me know..... We will make it right. But I can tell you that you will not have any problems. Bolt them together, throw air at them and go wheeling :smokin:
