that one should use a 8" stroke.
To be sure turn the wheels all the way left and mark the tie rod to a reference point on the axle. The turn all the way right and mark it again in reference to the same spot on the axle then measure the difference between the 2 marks. that should be the length ram you need. It's OK to go a little over

An 8" is what you need.... It is close but it works. I had to mount the tab right on the edge of the tube near the knuckle. I used a tractor ram, it was rather large you could get a smaller cylinder ram... Give you a little room.

thanks! any pics of your set up? i was thinking about the ram from Tractor Supply. 2" bore 8" stroke $74.99 :) what do you think? My truck is driven in the road, not much, but to local wheeling places. Should I try to go with a 1.5" x 8" or will the 2" be better? I know the smaller the diameter the quicker response and the larger the slower yet more powerful. Just trying to find the right balance. I am running 39.5" tsl's on a nissan...thanks.

To be honest, I would just go with whichever you could get the cheapest. I talked to all kinds of people before I bought my ram and it was about half and half. I talked to quite a few people that used the 2" on there DD. No pics yet, sorry....

That's why i offer a 1.75" ram along with the 1.5 and the 2".
That way you can get exactly what you want.
