: cj shock mouts on spring over 90wrangler 11-06-2002, 12:39 PM ok this is for my friend and he has a cj7 and he just got done doing his spring over, and one thing that confused him is where to mount shocks because the stock mounts make it so the shocks are higher, any pictures on how you would mount longer shocks would be great thx Maine Jeepah 11-06-2002, 02:25 PM I used the stock mounts on my dana 44's. Bryan jds4x43 11-06-2002, 04:46 PM On my ' 76 the shock mounts are on the Spring plates and they worked fine, they are a little higher but that didn't hurt me because of the extra flex I got from very soft stock wrangler springs and my air shocks are totally adjustable for pressure and ride so they don't bottom out.
